Tim Brown- tales of creativity and play and creativity

the Ted talk from Tim Brown was all about play and creativity in the adult working world and how this can make for the best ideas and work. what made me really think the most about his talk was the idea of role play. I had thought about physical play before using materials but never the use of a childhood game of role play in an adult world. role play allows the designers to place themselves in the shoes of the design itself and come up with the best solutions. this idea is something i want to use in my own work.

one comment I will still remember next year from his talk is the thinking with your hands as its something i already live by but hadn't been able to put words to. the idea of play with your hands first then thinking later can lead to some incredible ideas and process.

I definitely feel Tim Browns talk will influence the way I communicate with a task or brief from now on in a way of thinking less restricted and not to worry about what other people think of my play.

this video out of all three is the one I would recommend for other people to watch even if they are not artists or designers as its the most direct around the creative process and play.
